Our courses are designed for anyone with a passion for learning. For children, we suggest ages from 8+, with sessions tailored to match skill level and learning style. Beginners are always welcome and encouraged — no prior coding experience needed!

All robotics, laptops, Arduino kits, and materials are fully provided on-site. You only need to bring along your curiosity, readiness to learn, and closed-in shoes!

Yes — especially for younger students. Parents of participants under 12 are asked to stay and learn along at no extra cost.

All Course Workshops run for 90mins. Holiday Introductory sessions, which are considered "Taste-Testers" run for 60mins and allow you to experience what we do and how we do it. It also allows us (and you) to determine if you are ready for a 6 Session Course.

Absolutely -

We provide services that may be funded by self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants, but we are NOT an NDIS Provider. This includes attendance at Robotics Courses or at our Robotics Club. These services often fall under the categories of;

Group Activities, Skills Development and Training, Self Awareness and Confidence Mentorship, Workplace readiness.

How to find us…

We rent a space in the basement of the WEA Adult Learning Building, and we are adjacent Maker Space. The address is 223 Angas Street, Adelaide. We usually have our A-Frame pointing the way outside our clubroom and teaching space.

Car Parking

There is a car park at the back of the building and entry is via the eastern side of the building. Entry is $5 through a tap-card transaction. Once the payment is approved, the boom gate will open. There is no time limit for this parking space.

Street parking is also available, however please observe the street signs as they vary considerably from one area to the next and for weekdays and Saturdays.

What to bring…

Please bring along your curiosity and a willingness to learn cool things. We will supply the rest! For children under the age of 12, we ask that an adult stay with the child to support, encourage and manage behaviour. We encourage parents to learn along with your child to support them in their learning.

Attendance

Please arrive on time, or ideally 5-10mins early. Arriving late means you may miss important information about the workshop content and can delay the timely delivery of the workshop.

If you are unable to attend your booked session, please contact us well before the workshop is due to commence. We always aim to deliver our sessions in a timely and professional manner.

Pickup

If your child is older than 12 years and you plan on leaving them at the workshop, you must pick up your child ON TIME from the Clubrooms / Learning space. We have a duty of care to ensure children are connected with a family member and will not let them leave the clubrooms unattended, unless they are old enough to find their own way home.

What to wear…

We ask that you wear clean closed-in shoes, even on hot days. Our clubrooms / teaching space has carpet and there can be small pieces of wire, Lego bricks or small pieces of metal that could puncture the skin of your feet.

If you have been on a sports field before entering our space, please either change your shoes or ensure you wipe your feet before entering the room to help us to keep our creative space clean and tidy.

Public Holiday Weekends

The WEA Adult Learning Centre is usually closed on holiday weekends, but Techspace Learning will often continue to operate and offer club sessions and workshops. If your scheduled workshop falls during a holiday weekend, entry will only be via the steps down to the basement from the carpark behind the building. If you require access via the lift due to mobility restraints, please arrange this prior to the workshop commencing and we will open the front door for you upon arrival.

Missed sessions

If you are unable to attend a workshop, we ask that you please let us know of your absence to avoid holding up the start of the session. We will do our best to find another workshop for you to attend, but there are no guarantees that we can achieve this. If you know in advance that you will miss a scheduled workshop, please let us know when booking and we will document this and not charge you for this workshop.
